McGladrey Classic Golf Tournament Package – October 6-10, 2010

The PGA TOUR is adding the McGladrey Classic Golf Tournament to the Fall Series, and the event will take place in the Golden Isles of Georgia. Played on the Seaside Course at the Sea Island Golf Course October 7-10, 2010, the tournament brings Davis Love III and his PGA friends for this outstanding event.

The Seaside Course is a classic with a historic tradition. The first nine holes were built in 1929 and designed by the famous team of Charles Alison and Harry S. Colt. Tom Fazio designed the second nine, built in 1999.

The Jekyll Island Club Hotel supports the event and offers a
special package.

Shrimp and Grits Package – September 17-19, 2010

Enjoy two of the South's favorite foods - shrimp and grits - at this weekend festival September 17-19, 2010. With delicious food, live music, and great entertainment, "Shrimp and Grits: The Wild Georgia Shrimp Festival" is an Island-wide event that showcases the wonderful tastes, sights and sounds of Jekyll Island. In addition, amateur and professional chefs, grab your cooking spoons and get ready to compete in the Fifth Annual Shrimp and Grits cook-off! The main event will take place in the Jekyll Island Historic District (right in front of the hotel) and kicks off with a Friday night concert beginning at 5:45 PM. Admission to the festival is free.
